What makes Gimme Beauty hair bands different from other hair ties?

Our Gimme Bands are rated best overall hair elastics and have over 10,000 five-star reviews. With multiple options/sizes, they are designed to cater to several different hair types and hairstyles, so you can find the right fit for YOU.

Patented design for the ultimate elasticity: Our patented material design is composed of hundreds of microfiber elastics that work together to spread tension and retain elasticity for a strong hold.

Strongest + longest hold: The Thick Fit Hair Bands can withstand up to 70 lbs of pressure compared to standard elastics that break with an average of 8 lbs of pressure.

Secure yet gentle: Our Gimme Bands have no breaks & are seamlessly soft so you can enjoy a comfortable grip without the headache. These grip-optimized hair ties secure a firm, strong, yet gentle hold.

Ultra comfort + snag free removal: No matter your hair length or texture, these hair bands are easy to remove without any snagging or breaking.

Will these hair bands actually hold thick hair?

Yes! Our Thick Hair Bands are designed with extra strength and stretch to hold thick, heavy, or voluminous hair without slipping or breaking.

Do these hair bands snap easily?

Nope! We engineered these bands to withstand the weight of thick hair, so they won’t snap like traditional elastics. These bands are seamless as well, and will be able to withstand any hold.

What are Gimme Beauty hair bands made of?

Our Gimme Bands are made from premium nylon, polyester, rubber elastic, spandex and are ethically sourced using top tier yarns and blends. This blend works together to spread tension and retain elasticity for a strong, yet gentle, hold.

What makes your brushes different from other detangling brushes?

Our brushes are designed specifically for different hair types, ensuring a smooth, tug-free experience. With a cushioned pad, ergonomic handle, and high-quality bristles, they glide through knots without pulling or damaging hair.

Are these brushes safe for wet and dry hair?

A clean hairbrush is crucial for scalp health and hair growth. Product buildup, dead skin cells and loose hair all contribute to a hairbrush that could be doing your freshly washed hair more harm than good. If you’re looking for a good way to clean your brush quickly and efficiently check out our blog: How To Clean Your Detangling Brush.

    Can you brush wet hair?

There are many opinions as to the best way to brush your hair– how often to do it, and depending on your hair type and texture– it might be recommended to not brush at all. But should you brush your hair wet? The answer here is highly conditional based on your hair texture {what works for one person, often won’t work for another}.
For those with straight hair, brushing wet hair can be harmful. Your hair is at its most vulnerable when wet and brushing in this condition can overstretch, over pull and tear your hair. Your hair will be at its strongest when dry.
For those with curly or textured hair, it will be the opposite: you probably shouldn’t brush your curly hair dry. Brushing curly or textured hair when it is wet actually helps reduce breakage and helps to keep the curl pattern intact. We recommend using a detangling, wide-tooth comb through wet curly hair.
How should you brush? It all begins In the shower, focus on keeping your hair from tangling by using your fingers or a detangling comb in the shower while shampooing and conditioning. This will be a gentler way to keep from getting your hair tangled. We encourage those with straight hair to wait until your hair is dry to do any further brushing. For those with curly hair, the best time to brush or detangle is before you shampoo, to make this detangling process easier and safer on your hair. After shampooing, using a coat of conditioner and detangling gently with a wide-tooth comb or your fingers will further help this process. Moisture is key in order to prevent damage while brushing.
Remember, any type of rigorous pulling and tugging is going to be harmful to hair. Be gentle on your hair as you brush!

Does this brush create volume for fine hair?

Yes! The cushioned pad and flexible bristles help lift hair at the root, giving fine hair a bit more body.
