Gimme Girls Run This City (Home Turf Edition): SLC Marathon
Sunny skies, strong ponytails, and stronger women — celebrated in our very own backyard. 🙌
On April 24, we brought the Gimme Girl energy with a booth at the SLC Marathon Expo to connect with runners and supporters. The high-energy vibe lasted all weekend: positive, lively, and full of community spirit. We spent the day hanging with longtime Gimme Girls and meeting new faces, handing out hair bands to marathon runners and expo attendees to help them get race-day ready.
Then came race day. We showed up and showed out with our loudest cheers and our biggest signs (“Ask me for a hair band!” and yes, the runners asked!). While we were there to celebrate the entire SLC Marathon community, we were especially proud to cheer on five of our very own Gimme Girls who ran the marathon themselves. Talk about a test drive — for 26.2 miles, our Bounce Back Bands stayed secure, keeping hair comfortably in place without slipping or sagging.
Being part of such an uplifting event in our own neighborhood reminded us what we love so much about the Gimme community and beyond: showing up for each other, building confidence, and moving forward, together.
