GGB Pitch Competition Terms & Conditions

1. Competition Overview

The Gimme Gives Back Pitch Competition (“Competition”) is organized and sponsored by Gimme Beauty to award a $40,000 grant to a qualifying small business in the United States. The purpose of this Competition is to support and fund small businesses already in operation, whether for-profit or nonprofit.

 


 

2. Dates & Timeline

  • Competition Launch Date: August 26, 2025
  • Entry Deadline: September 8, 2025 (11:59 PM MT)
  • Final Four Selection: September 19, 2025
  • Pitch Submission Deadline: September 30, 2025 (11:59 PM MT)
  • Pitch Event Date: October 24, 2025 (date subject to change)
  • Winner Announcement: Day of the pitch event. 
  • Grant Delivery: Before December 31, 2025

Gimme Beauty reserves the right to adjust any of these dates in its sole discretion.

 


 

3. Eligibility Requirements

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
  • Open to legal residents of the United States.
  • The business must already be operating (pre-revenue or idea-only stage businesses are not eligible).
  • Both for-profit and nonprofit businesses are eligible.
  • No minimum time in business required.
  • Excluded Categories: Businesses that operate in, promote, or derive revenue primarily from alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, vaping, or other regulated substances are not eligible for this Competition.
  • Employees, officers, directors, and immediate family members of Gimme Beauty are not eligible to participate.
  • The Gimme Beauty ‘The Perfect Pitch’ Competition is open to founders of early-stage businesses that are majority-owned (51% or more) by individuals from underrepresented groups in entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on women-identifying founders. While applications are welcome from founders of any gender identity, the judging criteria will prioritize ventures that demonstrate a meaningful commitment to advancing opportunities for women and/or addressing challenges disproportionately impacting women.

 


 

4. Entry Rules

  • Entry must be submitted via the official online form.
  • No entry fee or purchase is required.
  • Required materials: Business details as requested in the application form. Further documentation proving business eligibility may be requested at the discretion of the Gimme Beauty team.
  • Incomplete, illegible, or late submissions will be disqualified.

 

5. Judging & Selection Process

Application entries will be reviewed and selected by the Gimme Beauty team.

Our top four (4) contestants' pitches during the competition will be reviewed and scored by a panel of judges selected by Gimme Beauty.

Evaluation criteria include:

    • Innovation
    • Market potential
    • Financial viability
    • Community impact
  • No weighting system will be applied; decisions are based on the judges’ overall assessment.
  • All judging decisions are final and binding and are not subject to appeal.


 

6. Prizes

  • Grand Prize: $40,000 grant (cash) awarded to one (1) winner.
  • The prize must be used for business expenses only.
  • Grant funds will be delivered by December 31, 2025.
  • Prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted.
  • Winners are responsible for any applicable tax reporting requirements.

 


 

7. Publicity & Intellectual Property

  • The winning business name, logos, photos or videos, and basic business details will be shared publicly to announce the winner.
  • No additional information will be shared without the owner’s consent.
  • All rights to submitted pitch materials remain with the participant.
  • Gimme Beauty may share pitch content only with the written consent of the business owner.
  • If intellectual property (patents, trademarks, trade secrets) is disclosed, confidentiality is guaranteed.

 


 

8. Disqualification & Compliance

Participants may be disqualified for:

  • Late or incomplete submissions
  • Plagiarism or use of false information
  • Failure to meet eligibility requirements
  • Morality Clause
    All contestants must act with professionalism and uphold Gimme Beauty’s standards of ethics at all times during the competition process, including application, participation, public representation, and post-competition activities. By entering, contestants represent and warrant that they have disclosed to Gimme Beauty any information that could conflict with these standards, including:

(a) any conduct showing disregard for public morals, conventions, or decency;
(b) any action that could degrade the contestant’s standing in society, or bring the contestant or Gimme Beauty into public disrepute, contempt, scorn, or ridicule;
(c) any behavior or statements that could shock, insult, or offend the community, damage Gimme Beauty’s reputation, or be inconsistent with the values of the competition; and/or
(d) participation in any media or public appearance containing material not reasonably suitable for Gimme Beauty’s general audience.

Contestants must immediately notify Gimme Beauty if any such information arises after submission of their application or during the competition period. Gimme Beauty’s ability to host and promote the competition without controversy or negative public relations issues is a material condition of participation.

If, at any time before, during, or after the competition, Gimme Beauty determines that a contestant’s conduct is inconsistent with this clause, Gimme Beauty reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without liability, to disqualify the contestant, revoke any awards or prizes, and remove any related content or publicity.

  • Violation of applicable laws or these Terms & Conditions

Gimme Beauty reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Competition at any time.

 


 

9. Liability & Disclaimers

  • By participating, entrants release Gimme Beauty from any liability related to participation, prize acceptance, or use of the grant.
  • Gimme Beauty makes no guarantee of business success or profitability as a result of winning the grant.
  • In the event of circumstances beyond Gimme Beauty’s control (including natural disasters, public health emergencies, or other force majeure events), the Competition may be postponed, modified, or canceled without liability.

 


 

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah.
